Here at All On Implants, our team of oral specialists is passionate about mastering and making use of the latest dental implant technology. Both Dr. Alan Wolcott and Dr. Bill Molina regularly attend international lectures, advanced education and training sessions to become acquainted with the very latest products, technologies and techniques coming out of the world’s leading research clinics.
The Latest Implant Techniques
Dental implant technology is far from stagnant. Medical companies are constantly launching research and development projects and clinical trials in an effort to advance the science behind smile rehabilitation. The goal is to make dental implant technology and the surgical guides used to place them quicker, safer, less invasive and cheaper for patients to undergo.
Staggering advances have been made over the past two decades and today, dental implant surgery is incredibly safe, highly predictable, virtually painless for patients and markedly less expensive than it used to be. These procedures also come with a fantastic success rate of 98% for single dental implants and 95% over a period of 10 years for full mouth reconstruction.
The “All-On-4” Protocol
Here at All On Implants, we make use of the latest implant techniques, including the breakthrough “All-On-4,” which can give patients who have lost most or all of their original adult teeth a brand new smile in as little as a single dental appointment. This advanced dental implant technology goes without precedent as far as benefits are concerned and it has, to date, changed the lives of tens of thousands of people across the world.
Dr. Alan Wolcott mastered the “All-On-4” under the guidance of Dr. Paulo Malo: the European implantologist who pioneered the technique. This hands-on training together with over 20 years’ worth of experience in oral rehabilitation has proven to be invaluable as Dr. Wolcott and his team of dental specialists are able to provide comprehensive teeth replacement solutions for patients presenting with all manner of oral health problems. Dr. Wolcott was not the first but is one of the first in full mouth rehabilitation using the teeth in a day method since 1999 and the All-on-4 protocol since 2005.
3-D Cone Beam Computed Tomography
All On Implants doesn’t only make use of the latest dental implant technology, products and surgical guides, we’re also one of the few dental offices to have a 3-D Cone Beam CT scan! This expensive piece of diagnostic equipment is used to provide our team of specialists with 3-D, high-resolution X-ray images of a patient’s jawbone structure and dentition. This raw digital data is then fed through computer imaging software, which produces a detailed 3D picture that our doctors can view from every angle, manipulate or even alter by adding notes, color, etc.
Cone Beam CT scans essentially make is possible for Dr. Wolcott to draw up detailed surgical plans that are customized to meet the patient’s exact needs. Through the use of this advanced technology:
- Risks and complications can be identified prior to surgery and avoided.
- The risk of any damage to vital structures in the mouth, such as major blood vessels, the sinus cavity and the nerve canal can also be avoided.
- The best possible location for implant placement (looking for ample strong bone) and the best implant angulation can be determined without the need for additional incisions and sutures.
- Surgeries are quicker, more efficient and less invasive and traumatic for the patient.
- Recovery is quicker and with fewer complications and discomfort.
The benefits of using advanced dental implant technology and diagnostic equipment, such as 3-D Cone Beam CT scans, are most evident in a patient’s experience and in the outcomes achieved. We have made it a priority to get the latest technologies in our office so that we can offer patients a seamless journey from their initial screening to the final visit, with minimal risks and minimal discomfort.
At All On Implants, our philosophy is to work towards the best results at the most affordable prices.
